De expo De Parade opent in het STAM en voorzitter Astrid De Bruycker, de Raad van Bestuur van AGB Kunsten en Erfgoed Gent en het STAMteam nodigen u met veel plezier uit op het openingsfeest. We trekken samen met u de stoet op gang op donderdag 15 oktober 2026 om 20 uur.

Most exhibitions start with a theme, a storyline, and a carefully selected group of objects. But not for ‘The Parade’. For this exhibition, we’re deliberately steering clear of the traditional approach. Forget the theme and the narrative; ‘The Parade’ takes its cue purely from our collection - holding around 30,000 remarkably diverse objects - and the sheer joy of looking and discovering. Destination unknown; the journey itself - as is so often the case - is what matters most.
STAM turned ten last year... time for a make-over for the permanent exhibition! Since the end of 2020 you can stroll through the new Story of Ghent.
Feel free to touch! A fun children’s trail that leads through every room in the museum. Children become merchants, craftspeople, architects or city trippers and participate in city life. They sell cloth, make coats of arms, face façades and work out routes.
