20230327 STAM Stadklassen Dag 1 c Martin Corlazzoli COR03458

STAM recounts the story of Ghent throughout the ages. This makes the museum the perfect introduction to a visit to the city, whether for young pupils, students or teachers. The museum experience is also offered in English: English schoolchildren are therefore more than welcome! You and your pupils can look forward to a fascinating voyage of discovery into the history and culture of our city.

Ghent

The museum circuit is a chronological trail during which you learn what makes Ghent unique. STAM brings alive the history of Ghent by means of carefully selected exhibits and numerous interactive displays.

The city

‘The Story of Ghent’ also teaches pupils about the broader concepts of ‘city’ and urbanisation. Since diverse subjects are illustrated from all sorts of angles, a visit to the museum is also interesting and relevant for schools located outside of Ghent. Vvisit and/or guided tour of the city

Would you like a guided tour of STAM together with your class? Why not turn it into a complete day out by combining your visit with a guided walk through the city? Guided visits and walks are available in Dutch, French and English. Please feel free to contact us.

Picnic

STAM has set aside a space where school groups can enjoy their picnics. Please mention that you would like to make use of this facility when you book. If the weather is fine, it is also possible to picnic in the orchard.
