On loan

Don’t be surprised if you see items from STAM’s collection elsewhere in Belgium or abroad. They are regularly loaned for special exhibitions.

Objects on loan:

  • A portrait of Philip II in the exhibition Mary of Hungary at the Royal Museum of Mariemont (until 10 May 2026)
  • A painting by the eighteenth-century artist Elisabeth Seldron in the exhibition Unforgettable. Women Artists from Antwerp to Amsterdam, 1600–1750 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington (until 11 January 2026) and later at the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent (until 31 May 2026)
  • A bridal cup, candlestick, and waffle iron in the exhibition Taste & Tradition at the Museum van de Molen en de Voeding in Brussels (until 29 August 2026)
  • A Carolingian coin hoard in the exhibition Bigger Picture at Brusk (until 6 September 2026)
  • The badge of a volunteer at the Abbey of Ename in the exhibition Macht, verlies en herleving in Ename (until 27 September 2026)
  • A large number of archaeological finds in the exhibition OMG op stap met Romeinse goden at the Archaeocentrum Velzeke (until 30 September 2026)
  • The scale model by Toyo Ito and Andrea Branzi for the Muziekforum (music centre) at Waalse Krook at the Fondazione La Triennale di Milano (until 4 October 2026)
  • The bust of Leopold II from Koning Albertpark in the exhibition Postcolonial? at the House of European History (until 14 March 2027)
  • A painting, medallions, and household items in the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent (permanent display)
